As an artist and educator I have 40 years of teaching experience in drawing, printmaking, and painting . I have had the pleasure of working in the community for WEA, and experience of teaching for a number of educational institutions at level 3, HND, and degree level.
Teaching has offered me the opportunity to be inspired and inspire .
My own art work is a search into the unknown and involves taking risks, changing ,and reworking an idea or image in order to find a new direction. This approach towards my own personal development complements my practice as an art educator.

These drawings and designs are part of the "Bringing
the Woodland into the Home" collection. The designs can be adapted for
repeat pattern, wallpaper designs and soft furnishings. The licence for each
design or drawing can be sold to individual companies.
This work was displayed in New College Nottingham's Lace Market Gallery as part of "The Line and Movement" exhibition, 22nd January -13th February 2015. The concept for my textiles work is: “ To Bring the Woodland into the Home”. The woodland collection of textile designs combine mixed media experiments, and hand drawn and printed images that are worked into placement or repeat pattern ideas.
